We were privileged to be guests at the Wild Rose Inn for a recent retreat and were treated to a wonderfully relaxing get-away. All of the details that you may desire were attended to from the beautifully furnished rooms to the inclusion of the detail of the his & her bathrobes to wrap up in after a regenerating soak in the jacuzzi. The meals were tasty and they always had snacks out in the dining room for consumption upon our return from visiting the sights in the area. This is a bed and breakfast we will definitely revisit. Mark and Shelene and their girls are wonderful hosts!

My brother's wedding was at the Wild Rose Inn in June and could not have been more beautiful! We stayed at the Inn for the weekend, and Mark and Shelene were so gracious. The space was perfect for the wedding, and the whole experience at the Wild Rose Inn could not have been better! Shelene's peach iced tea is also the best around! :)

Our daughter wanted an outdoor garden wedding and we found the most amazing place to have this at the Wild Rose Inn of Okoboji. Even though we live in the area we decided to stay and enjoy all of the festivities at the Inn from the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and our beautiful tent reception. We had many comments about this most beautiful venue. This is due in part to the gracious owners Mark and Shelene. Weddings can be an anxious time and we felt right at home here. Anything we needed the McDermott family was there to help out.
We could not have been more happy with our total experience and also highly recommend the Wild Rose Inn of Okoboji!!

We had our sons entire bridal party and in laws stay here and were basically given free reign! Mark and Shelene went out of their ways to make everyone of us feel at home. The breakfasts were amazing! We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding here and it was Perfect! And their daughters are great helpers too!Totally reccommend!

Our daughter had an outdoor wedding in the beautiful backyard of the Wild Rose Inn, last weekend. It was so amazing! Mark and Shelene did an outstanding job serving us, and taking care of us! The entire wedding party, and parents stayed at the Inn, and we had a great time! The hospitality, the facility, and the service that Mark and Shelene provided us was perfect! We would HIGHLY recommend this place!

We have stayed at many B&B's all over the U.S. This is by far one of the best !!!! It is so spacious and beautiful !! We felt like we were in a quiet country setting, yet close to all the attractions surrounding the lake area. Our room was beautifully decorated and opened out onto a patio overlooking the garden complete with pond, gazebo, and waterfall. It was amazing. The gourmet breakfast was delicious and the dining room so elegant. The owners, Mark and Shelene were so gracious. We hope to make this a yearly event in our travel plans.

We had such a great time at the Wild Rose B & B this last weekend. Our room was so comfortable, as was the tv/game room! Shelene, Mark and their girls made us feel very welcome and had great suggestions for resturants and things to do. Wonderful food! We are trying to find the time to go back in a few months!

Sheldon and I recently stayed the weekend, We had never been to a Bed & Breakfast and were kinda nervous...As soon as we arrived Shelene made us feel like family, The whole time we were there Mark & Shelene were more than happy to help us anyway they could, They truly are great people and made our weekend away the best we have ever had. We recently had a girl's getaway at the Inn. WOW! We each had beautiful rooms, with amazing views of the gardens. Mark, Shelene and the girls made us feel like part of the family. The breakfast was delicious and served in their lovely dining room. They recommended points of interest, called for availability on tickets to the Okoboji Summer Theatre, which was EVITA. FABULOUS! We can't wait to have another girls getaway and will be bringing more friends! This would be a beautiful place to stay at in the winter!

Mark and Shelene were excellent Hosts. The property and decor is gorgeous plus the grounds are very well manicured. The rooms were clean and VERY spacious, and the breakfasts were gourmet. They are very knowledgeable on things to do in the area. We WILL be back.

I am a photographer and recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Wild Rose Inn. It is an absolutely beautiful place... there are special touches everywhere, and it is such a comfortable, welcoming, relaxing, and quietly wonderful setting. The owners, Mark and Shelene, are fantastic and worked to make sure that everyone's needs and wants were taken care of. I hope to stay at the Inn soon, and I hope to have the privilege of taking photos there again... a truly amazing place!

We stayed at the Inn on the weekend of July 4th 2010. We had an incredible time with our kids. The owners really went above and beyond to make sure that our family had an incredible time. Not to mention their amazing food they have prepared for you in the morning and warm cookies they had available in the evening....

We stayed here for our one year anniversary in the jacuzzi and fireplace suite. It was beautiful and amazing! The innkeepers are the nicest people I have ever met. So kind and caring to make it a special evening for us! The breakfast was awesome and we are going back very soon! :) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a charming and romantic get away!

My family and I stayed at Wild Rose while in town attending to a family emergency. The McDermott family showed amazing compassion in making our stay truly comfortable during a tough time. They helped watch my kids, bought my daughter lunch and even prepared a gift basket for my sister who was in the hospital (whom they had never met). They are special people and you will enjoy staying in their company. The facility itself is immaculate - a beautiful home, beautiful property, amazing breakfast and top-notch amenities. We cannot wait to return to Wild Rose Inn. Thank you so much for the tremendous hospitality.

The Wild Rose Inn comes highly recommended from my husband and I. We stayed at the Wild Rose Inn over Winter Games, We were greated with smiles and kind hearts. Mark and Shelene and the girls were overly accomodating, letting us park our big trailer and the sleds on the side of the Inn. The breakfasts Shelene creates are almost too pretty to eat... The Enningas would like to send a sincere thanks to Mark and Shelene for their sincerity, generosity, & kindness!

Unbelieveable is all We can say. Mark and Shelene are doing something they both love and u can see and feel that. They make you feel so welcome. The breakfast are so wonderful. The Women Entrepreneurs of the Iowa Great Lakes area held a luncheon at the Wild Rose in early December. The facility is beautifully decorated for the holidays and the food was amazing. Thanks Shelene!
